Description:

The Alamo Area Development Corporation (AADC) will release a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to identify interested, qualified, and licensed home improvement contractors to create a pool of qualified contractors which then would bid on providing the material and labor to perform “accessibility modifications” based on the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS) to privately owned housing units. In addition, some of these housing units may require more substantial general home repairs, such as roofing, siding, plumbing, electrical and flooring. It is not required but is preferable that all interested contractors have TAS and/or Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) working knowledge and or experience. AACOG/AADC serves a 12 county region. The projects for which this RFQ is being requested may be found throughout the AACOG service region.

The Request for Qualifications will be available after 10:00 a.m. on March 26, 2012 at the offices of AADC and AACOG at 8700 Tesoro Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78217 and on the AACOG website. Proposers who require additional information or clarification may submit requests in writing only, either by fax or by email to the Procurement Department at (210) 225-5937 or e-mail, no later than March 30, 2012, 4:00 p.m. Responses to the written requests for clarification will be posted on the AACOG website no later than April 2, 2012, at 5:00 p.m. Deadline for receipt of qualifications is April 16, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. **All Times are as observed by AACOG at its 8700 Tesoro Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78217 location.**
