Veteran Programs

AACOG has a long tradition of supporting our Veteran population. And, with over 255,000 Veterans currently in the 13-county Alamo region, it is important that we do it right.

TXServes San Antonio is a branch of AmericaServes, America's first coordinated network of public, private and non-profit organizations working together to serve Veterans and their families.

TXServes evaluates your life goals and directs you to the network providers who can help you reach them. TXServes Network Providers work together to serve you. This means you only have to provide eligibility information ONCE. Submit your documents the first time you enter the network, and you never have to show them again.

The TXServes Network includes providers covering a comprehensive range of services, such as:

Benefits Health  Social Enrichment
Clothing & Household Goods Housing Spiritual Enrichment
Education Individual & Family Support Services Sports & Recreation
Employment Legal Transportation
Food Money Management Utilities

Alamo Service Connection

Some of the services we can assist you with are:
  • Accessing and understanding your VA, TRICARE & MEDICARE healthcare benefits.
  • Locating specialized resources through the over 250 community partners working to help Veterans and their Families in our region.
  • Providing assistance with transportation needs through our Texas Veterans Commission grant-funded grant program and other community transportation services.
  • Educating community leaders, Veterans groups, or private company on ways you can easily support Veterans and their families.
  • Developing & facilitating training events that are not only informative, but educational and directly applicable to your everyday lives in Military City USA.
*List is not all-inclusive.

This program is supported by a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance. The Fund for Veterans’ Assistance provides grants to organizations serving veterans and their families.
